Good shit

We met our driver/tour guide right at 9am. He is very sweet, chatty and very informative. Spoke English very well.. This is his only source of income, but helps his family farming. We learned a lot about his family and  Balinese Hindu culture. He also learned about America.
We Headed to our first stop the Tegalalang  rice terraces. It’s was very beautiful. We learned about the growing to table process.

Yes Davina and I did the swing!! Tim opted out. It’s was amazing! I’m a free bird.

Then we headed to the Holy water temple. We learned about the Hindu praying culture and these are blessings.

This is the Sacred Banyon tree, The roots grow above ground,

This is a natural spring holy water. The prayers start at one end and go to each faucet down the line, except the last three, those are for death and cremation. They also have a separate area where pregnant women go for blessings of their baby.

Coverups where required.

Then we were off to the next step, the coffee plantation. We learned about the different coffee beans, cocoa beans and teas (spices) that are made here.

Bali is famous for the Luwack coffee, this is where a wild cat like animal eats the coffee Bean and poops it out. Then a worker that is paid very well, collects the coffee bean. The animals digestive system purifies the bean. It is very pricey coffee.

The Luwack is a wild nocturnal animal, so they cannot produce the coffee in mass amounts, this is why it’s so pricey. $100 usd for 3 ounces of dry coffee. This is the coffee that Morgan Freeman and Jack Nicholson talked about in the movie "the bucket list" they drank it and stated good shit. So, the locals here took that to heart and they call it cat poo chino and "good shit!"
This Luwack is only for visitors to see what the animal looks like.

Roasted Luwack beans

We tried several different coffees and spice "Tea" throughout the stop. And some various chocolates.
So you have not experienced Bali until you have tried the Cat poo Chino. Aka Good Shit!

And everyone knows how much I love coffee....I was VERY hesitant to try due to the process.. Tim and Davina tried it and they don’t like coffee... so I did!!! Smelled like coffee, tasted like coffee....It’s was strong!

Next stop, we went to the volcano Mt Batur and witnessed some beautiful views from above.

This is where we had a buffet lunch and this was our view.

Next we visited the Tegenungan waterfall. This is the first waterfall we have seen in Asia.

We finished our wonderful day with Wayan and took Tim to his very first fish spa. Tim really had no response lol unlike me my first time. :)

Then we went and got ice cream at Dairy Queen. And chatted about our day a little bit.

While we were sitting there this guy came up with the sign and I asked to take his photo. It was pretty funny.

Davina went on for another massage and Tim and I went back to the hotel room for a little bit then head out for dinner where we had some margaritas.
Tim can’t live without his sports.

We have made a Indonesian friend . Wayan Midun Thanks for a great day!
