Golden

So, thanks to an awesome friend, we were bought tickets to go on the Golden Circle tour for today!
And so we went and here is our day. Some of these pictures were taken from a moving bus.

The Golden Circle

Active volcano, Looks like a pony or a reindeer. Provides a lot of thermal energy.  Iceland provides so much energy between the Volcano and the waterfalls .. the whole country only uses about 10% of its sources. No neighbors to share with.

Faxa waterfall

Water was flowing down the steps

Gulfoss
Yep windy and cold

Here's a little light reading for you

Yes that is snow!
An Icelandic truck, I think I want one but I would need a ladder to get in it LOL
Look at those tires!
Our tour bus
Some more views
The next two pictures are their "EMS"  doing training, did you know that Iceland has no military. They are protected by the United States of America. :)

Then we stopped for lunch and this is the only puffin that I'll get to see this time but they are a lot smaller than everybody thinks.

I see these T-shirts everywhere we go, Iceland has went bankrupt.
Geysir

HOT!

Lots of semi wild horses and the horses are semi wild because they depend on the farmers hay to eat during the winter.

Then we went to a beautiful ridge where the two plates of European and America are separating. They said that, that water is the most clear and cleanest in the world.

Remember what goes down must come up.
Beautiful ridge

These views were on our way back to Reykjavík.

We had a glorious few days in Iceland.
I aint gonna lie, It got a little stressful and financially tight, due to no fault of ours. I was worried. But in the end but, I have True friends in Low places, Who didn't let me down.
To those few who assisted and allowed us to actually enjoy and see Iceland, Tim and I thank you very very much from the bottom of our hearts.
Most of all to my best friend Tim,
Thank you for enjoying this month in Europe with me, I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Tonight we are going to try the northern lights mystery tour again hopefully the lights will show up ( thirds times a charm right?!?!) and then tomorrow we head home to New York then Tuesday on to Tennessee.
God bless.
