Jet lag and a 12 hour time difference is no joke , it sucks. We are not sleeping well so Today we decided to take a “relaxing” day to ourselves. Went And got my first Thai massage. 1 hour 8$
We had to get undressed, put these funny clothes on, Davina and Luann got their massage started first and I was a little jealous haha!! Patiently waiting.... The Thai girl started massaging my back OMG it TrueLy felt like like the girl was ripping my back muscles out! Itt was so painful. I looked over at the other 2 and they appeared to be asleep or relaxed whilst I’m in agony!!! Huffing and puffing and squirming everywhere... HOW??
The rest of the body massage was fine I think she lightened up a bit. Thighs and calf’s could’ve been a bit harder. Cant win for losing I guess. I will try again at those prices.
So , we did some Air BNB research as we are looking toward our next move on Friday night. I like Bangkok but, I’m not in Love with Bangkok. Looking forward to Chiang Mai and some side trips. The weather is in the 90s and 80% humidity. I am sweating in places I won’t mention . 2 showers a day hot!!
Small world we live in. Davina is meeting up with a friend Geneva , from high school who is teaching here in Bangkok on a contract. So we hit the subway, after I got my coin ticket I immediately went to the exit and tried to go thru. Argh had to buy another ticket and try again 21 baht. We finally figured out this rocket science, with some Thai help. It really wasn’t hard but I think I was still back in agony over that massage and wasn’t using my head. Didn’t realize there are no subways in Austin Texas so Luann got her first subway experience . And Davina looked less Than pressed haha!! That face.. Davina and Geneva Missing Gizmo! Looking at clothes for him. Very adorable ones but Tim wouldn’t let me put on Gizmo I’m sure. ;) My Foody friends might appreciate the next part of our night at the market. Lots n lots of food. Enjoy the pictures ;) cooking fish on the grill bananas
Nope notta no way.. not eating bugs! I don’t care if they “taste like chicken” I like street food but this is where I draw the line....
This was my dinner Geneva and Davina talking over some Prawns The teacher teaching Davina about prawns.
Tomorrow, we are going on the subway to pick up our tickets for the night train to chiang Mai on Friday.
