Taxi to KS Rd 400 baht ... keep on reading for how we got home. ;) This is the backpackers area and now I know why. Everything you need is right here at your finger tips. I found out today that we are def staying in a Hoyty toydy (high class) area compared to KS Rd. But we are direct center downtown.
I seen this at a local bar and had to check it out, so Fugly!! He needs a tan and his toenails cut!! ;)
So, here I looked for a restroom and seen the sign for toilets on a wall so I head back there... nope! I seen a huge Rat the size of a cat and we ran other way. It grosses me out. And I found some other statues that caught my interestIn a back alley on a wall I fell in Love with this view coconut 50 (1.59) water 10 (.59)this is a sign telling you directions.....can’t read it due to the sticker art work on it. Police window shopping
Well we came here for Thai massage and a wax and that’s exactly what we got :) I actually enjoyed this massage! Almost went to sleep.
Then Davina and I went to experience our first leg waxing! We were a bit nervous but we are adventurous...right?? Wax was hot but really wasn’t that bad then we wandered the streets for a bit longer people watching.
Ice cream in a coconut :) A Tuk Tuk driver came up to us and wanted us to do a tour I almost shooed Him away, he got my attention with 20 baht so we listened to him We could get a “city tour” and dropped off at the train station. Of course with a few “extra” stops involved.. so let the scam begin!! We are ready. Deal was set and we were off. Crazy driver!!!! Wow!!he took us to a few places and the stores. The thing about Tuk Tuks is it’s like a timeshare. (You get cheap or free deal if you listen to the sales pitch) So we call them timeshare TukTuk. You bargain a price and you stop at jewelry store, tie shop etc.these were nice places but then he took us here, I almost just stayed in the TukTuk but decided to go have a look.It was worth the whole scam.
When we got back down, our TukTuk driver was gone like the wind!! He never got his money..... we walked a bit and hailed another TukTuk to the train station and got a train for 28 baht. So we got home on less than half then getting there. 170 baht.
Stopped and got some food on our way home.
Sometimes you just go with the flow and it all works out. This is why it’s an adventure.Stay safe use your head and be aware of your surroundings.
