Ha Long Bay

Booked a day/1night cruise to Ha Long Bay Vietnam. Up at 6 am to catch a bus, literally on the side of the road because they only pick up in old town Hanoi and we we just barely on the outskirts.  4 hours later we arrive at our boat.Ha Long Bay is so pretty and relaxing for a bit.there are only 11 guests on the boat.

Lunchtime views like this was amazing. We went caving. No explanation Only stop sign in Vietnam... and it’s in a cave. And we went to a pearl farm and to do some kayaking. I was all ready to go then, I chose not to go kayaking when a man fell in and a kayak sunk.pulling the kayak out of the water. This was interesting, people live here full time. Kids were playing and women were doing laundry and cooking. Our boat was buying/trading goods. I know beer was bought from our boat haha! Pumpkin soup salad Spring rolls that we made in. ‘Cooking class’ Fresh shrimpBaked clamsthen several of the group played some Jenga! I went to bed early as I am exhausted. girl from Italylady from Irelandthen we all went to bed. We got up the next day at 540 am for sunrise which turned out cloudy/misty etc.

this is the boats gym.... they park so close they hit. Finally see the sun about 6:30 i got to spend a bit of time on the beach in Ha Long Baywhile the others climbed more stairs.,  up a hill. When we were getting back on the boat they washed our feet off. And cruised back to the dock getting some sunshine 4 hour van ride back to Hanoi. We asked if they could drop us off in old town and they did.,hit a ATM for cash and we went to KFC for dinner

And time to pack for Hoi An tomorrow.
