Via Turkey

Now,I got up early and made my city bus to termini station. I had to buy a new bus ticket to the airport because the return trip that I purchased was for March 25th instead of February 25th ! Ugh my bad.

So... I missed my 8am bus at the termini because the staff guy at the bus told me it was for the other airport!!!! so, I got on the next bus, which would still have allowed me plenty of time to get to the plane at 11am but, a pedestrian got hit in the street... police,ambulances, EMTs etc. so there was over an hour of backedup crazy traffic, made me miss my flight. Doesn't help when the airport is an hour from Rome center.

So, anyway with a purchase of Wi-Fi at the airport, I made a post that I needed somebody to call my husband in the USA and wake him up . It worked , finally he got me a new flight, with the help of a friend, through Turkish Airlines routed through Istanbul Turkey. 

Goodbye Rome .. Nice try tho ;) 

Pretty uneventful after that. Empty plane! I was able to stretch out a bit and they fed me on BOTH flights :) I brought the 2nd meal to the hostel with me for dinner :) which ironically is a turkey sandwich lol

Treats on Turkish airlines 

When I got to Athens,Greece, I found the metro and all I had from Google was in Greek! So I was mentally challenged at this point ( no snide remarks!!) and exhausted. There was a nice young man named John, on the metro that helped me find my way by writing the names of the stops on my paper and since I forgot to get my ticket validated...oops! . he gave me his ticket so, I wouldn't get in trouble since he only had two stops and I had 15 then a transfer.

So 16 hours later......I am at the hostel and trying to relax ... Just a wee bit noisy here. Exploring tomorrow! I get two free welcome shots downstairs at the bar.... That sounds like a great idea!! . Goodnight!

Well, I got caught in traffic 

And it made me miss my flight 

My flight!

Till tomorrow night!

And the door slam shut just before I can get in! 

I missed it!
